Hi,
I've just updated from F11 -> Rawhide, however I can not login into kde anymore. I even deleted ~/.kde. KDE starts up with the splash-screen, but plasma never shows up.
By manually starting plasma I got the following:
[ce@localhost ~]$ plasma-desktop QLayout: Attempting to add QLayout "" to QWidget "", which already has a layout plasma-desktop: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/plasma_wallpaper_image.so: undefined symbol: _ZN6Plasma9Wallpaper17setUsingDiskCacheEb
Is this a known problem, or should I file a bug?
Any ideas how I can work arround this problem?
Thank you in advance, Clemens

My bet is you have a combination of 4.2.85 and 4.2.90

Hi again,
Seems you're right - both kde-4.2.85 and kde-4.2.90 packages show up.
However "yum update" reports no available updates. Any idea what could be the reason?
Also, are there simply no debugging packages for kde-4.2.90, or is my system configured wrong?
Thanks, Clemens

No idea, but same thing happened to me this morning. I just downloaded the correct 4.2.90 packages that I needed from
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/development/x86_64/os/Pac...
and then "rpm -Uvh" them. Or creating a local yum repo from them might have been quicker. :-)
Also, are there simply no debugging packages for kde-4.2.90, or is my system configured wrong?
Not sure about the debugging packages.

Oh, forgot how much fun it is to live on the bleeding edge ;)
Seems I simply have to wait until the update the remaining packages. Deleting the background-library gives me a mostly functional KDE without background. I guess I can live with that until its fixed ;)
Thanks again, Clemens
