Keep an eye on the size of your plasma-desktop-appletsrc. If you do a lot of copying, for instance, it will grow quite large. If that happens, back it up and then edit - look for links to temporary files and containments that are obviously concerned with copying jobs, and remove them.
Tread with care - only remove the things you are certain of. The bug is known, and being dealt with. It's only ill-effect is to slow down the launch of kde - so until that becomes a problem for you, you don't need to do anything about it.

It also effects log out times, which I posted about here back in July,
Anne is there a bug #
Cheers

I didn't bother to add that it's in Fedora as well, as it's been confirmed in Trunk.

I have a half-dozen "copy files" entries. Is that worth editing? Also, presumably the idea is to edit when KDE isn't running, right?

Probably not.

KDE is OK, but plasma shouldn't be running.
In konsole - kquitapp plasma-desktop
edit your file and restart plasma-desktop
