Assuming I were to take the time to tag some files and folders, as well as rate them (the stars) and/or even have comments for these items...
Is there a way to back this information up so that it can be restored upon upgrade to rawhide/F13 or to a potential reinstallation of F12 or even to a different distro (were I inclined to want to peruse)?

It's stored in a database somewhere under your home directory.

Yes, it's that one.
Holy mackerel! It's almost 500MB! But at least I won't be rating or tagging for nothing.
~/.strigi/clucene/*
The Nepomuk Strigi service shouldn't be using that, but also the Virtuoso database.
So, is this clucene stuff just something left over from kde-4.2 or 4.3.0 or some earlier pre-4.3.85 version? Should I delete it?
