If I remove the power plug, the laptop works fine on battery. But the tray
icon shows a red 'x' mark and says 'no batteries available'. Also, the
brightness automatically sets to around 70% on evry boot, even if the
laptop is connected to AC power outlet.
What could be the problem ? I've uninstalled some software from the
default installation like kdepim, akonadi, telepathy and also all the apps
that depend on kde4 libs. May be I've uninstalled something which is
causing this.
Can some one help me ?
what does
upower -d
say?
(Hint: plasma uses upower, so I'm going to guess upower will fail to show
battery status too)
