After updating to F35 I have problems seeing the messages content on kmail.
I get the dreadful "org.kde.pim.webengine viewer: WebEngine render process crashed"
This only applies to seeing the messages, everything else works. I see the folders, the messages list and so on.
I can select the messages and view the source.
Is there any suggestion to fix this?
Best regards,

Maybe wait till F35 is released. The current stable versions are F33 and F34.

One of the purposes of this mailing list is also to test the new releases. :-) The releases do not get stable by themselves, there is no such a thing as self-organized stability. :-D
While searching for this type of error I found other occurrences in other linux distributions but nothing recent.
Best regards,

You might want to share the problem with the test mailing list, too.
test@lists.fedoraproject.org
And, of course, it may already be known, so a search here might also help:

I'm aware of that, but it wasn't clear from your post that you knew it was an unstable version.

This seems to be related with qtwebengine since this happens consistently for all applications that use it.
I have tested falkon and it does not render any page, the same happens for akregator.
I have even installed qt5-qtwebengine-freeworld from rpmfusion with no change. It still does not work. :-(
Any points to search this further?
Best regards,

Maybe it's again https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1904652
BTW Chromium also is affected and doesn't render any page. I think it's important enough to propose this bug as F35 blocker, but I'm now reinstalling my PC from scratch and I cannot do any testing... can you file a bug and propose it as F35 blocker?

I've just tested qt5-qtwebengine 5.15.6 for F36 and that resolved the issue with Falkon and Akregator. Maybe we need it for F35 also.

Thank you, thank you, thank you (you get the idea). :-)
I have cloned qt5-qtwebengine rawhide repo, created a srpm and built it using mock on F35. After installing the resulting rpm all works again.
I took some time to answer because it takes some time and memory to build it. :-)
In my tests with kmail, akregator and falkon all works again.
So yes, I would suggest to backport 5.15.6 to F35.

I gave it +1 and it should be on its way to stable (as soon as Beta is released).
