Have had numerous times where my kde plasma 5 desktop screen would just freeze up (although if sound was playing, like a video or streaming something, you could still hear it). And sometimes you would see a few squares on the desktop that were together (not a whole lot) that were different color or whatever than the desktop.
Pretty updated desktop, like 2 years old or so, lots of Ram, and using nouveau graphics driver.
Anyone else seeing this?

In a VirtualBox vm you need disable 3D , settings -> display -> disable 3D acceleration , let's see what happen with VirtualBox-4.3.28 .
