Has anyone else noticed that if you set the KDM theme to be oxygen-air, it actually uses the darker oxygen theme instead?
..or is it just my machine?

I think something got biffed in kde-4.6.1 alright. I don't recall seeing that with 4.6.0
I'll try to look into it when I have more time.

Thanks Rex. This is actually on 4.5.5. I just set the theme using the "Login Screen" module in System Settings (which shows the correct theme preview), and apply.
I confirm the change to kdmrc: chris@shem ~ $ grep -i theme /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc Theme=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/oxygen-air UseTheme=true
The files under /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/oxygen-air/ are definitely nice and blue.
Log out and the KDM theme is black, which to me looks like the oxygen theme, not oxygen-air.
Cheers, Chris

Yes Chris
There is a problem but I don't think it is using the oxygen theme. There appears to be no background image at all. I just have a black screen apart form the central sign in box. Maybe something is missing?

Yeah, there is no background, but the login box is the one from the oxygen theme. That's what I don't get.. if I remove the oxygen theme out of the directory, it's still using the oxygen login box.
The oxygen-air theme however, has no such login box.
Thanks for confirming..
