[OS-BUILD PATCH] [redhat] New configs in drivers/xen
by GitLab Bridge on behalf of jeremycline
From: Fedora Kernel Team <kernel-team(a)fedoraproject.org>
Hi,
As part of the ongoing rebase effort, the following configuration
options need to be reviewed.
As a reminder, the ARK configuration flow involves moving unreviewed
configuration options from the pending directory to the ark directory.
In the diff below, options are removed from the pending directory and
added to the ark hierarchy. The final options that need to be ACKed
are the files that are being added to the ark hierarchy.
If the value for a file that is added should be changed, please reply
with a better option.
CONFIG_XEN_UNPOPULATED_ALLOC:
Use unpopulated memory ranges in order to create mappings for guest
memory regions, including grant maps and foreign pages. This avoids
having to balloon out RAM regions in order to obtain physical memory
space to create such mappings.

header mismatch between tools and kernel in 5.9 rc8
by stan
Hi,
Just a heads up that there is a header file mismatch between the tools
and kernel includes in 5.9 rc8. Building from the src.rpm I get this
error.
Warning: Kernel ABI header at 'tools/include/uapi/linux/perf_event.h'
differs from latest version at 'include/uapi/linux/perf_event.h'

I'm not sure which is the correct version, but once I know I can fix
this with a patch (the above will work), but is there a better way? I
realize that the Fedora kernel no longer builds tools directly, but
could you make this change there?
Thanks.
