[OS-BUILD PATCH] redhat: disable tv/radio media device infrastructure
by Jarod Wilson (via Email Bridge)
From: Jarod Wilson <jarod(a)redhat.com>
redhat: disable tv/radio media device infrastructure
Upstream Status: RHEL-only
The analog and digital tv tuners and (FM) radio devices don't see much
play in RHEL server environments. We've never really updated them in any
major release, and have no evidence they're actively used by any RHEL
customers. These devices primarily come into use by hobbyists, who would
rather have a newer kernel with newer drivers and features anyway, and the
linux-media team maintains a way to build their latest bits against older
kernels should people really want to use these devices with a RHEL base.
Rather than build and ship drivers for hundreds of devices we don't think
anyone is actually using and we have no testing or support infrastructure
for, we ought to disable them.

Aborted tests
-------------
Tests that didn't complete running successfully are marked with ⚡⚡⚡.
If this was caused by an infrastructure issue, we try to mark that
explicitly in the report.
Waived tests
------------
If the test run included waived tests, they are marked with 🚧. Such tests are
executed but their results are not taken into account. Tests are waived when
their results are not reliable enough, e.g. when they're just introduced or are
being fixed.
Testing timeout
---------------
We aim to provide a report within reasonable timeframe. Tests that haven't
finished running yet are marked with ⏱.

I have the new option CONFIG_X64_X32_ABI disabled, and I am wondering
if it is related to that. I'm not sure why intel_sdsi is even being
processed, since I don't have an intel CPU, and have intel related
CONFIG options disabled in the kernel-local file. Is this an error in
the SPEC file?
And a note. The rpmbuild -bp kernel.spec command ran without error,
but after I had configured the kernel-local file, and ran
rpmbuild -bb kernel.spec
it complained about a missing package, libnl3-devel. I would have
thought that would be picked up by the -bp command when it expanded the
source. Am I wrong, and this is normal behavior?

spec: keep .BTF section in modules for s390
Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2071969
The patch 6a8653ed6b34 ("spec: Keep .BTF section in modules")
introduced possibility to keep .BTF sections which is necessary for
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF option.
At that time s390 architecture had a problem (see the 6a8653ed6b34
commit message), which was later fixed with efdd3eb8015e ("libbpf:
Accommodate DWARF/compiler bug with duplicated structs").
c446fdacb10d ("bpf: fix register_btf_kfunc_id_set for
!CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF") made such modules unloadable.
The patch removes the workaround since it's not needed anymore.

[OS-BUILD PATCH] redhat: Enable KASAN on all ELN debug kernels
by Nico Pache (via Email Bridge)
From: Nico Pache <npache(a)redhat.com>
redhat: Enable KASAN on all ELN debug kernels
This commit enables KASAN for all the ELN debug kernels (except s390
zfcpdump), and cleans up some of the fedora configs.
KASAN is useful in detecting bugs and was previously enabled on all ELN
kernels (except S390 zfcpdump)
