Interesting, nouveau.runpm defaults to 1, so I wonder why it is not doing
this by default on your system. Can you file a bug against xorg-x11-drv-nouveau
please and put the following people in the Cc:
I did, bz:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1541495
This may be the reason:
[14321.977201] pci 0000:01:00.0: optimus capabilities: enabled, status
dynamic power, hda bios codec supported
[14321.977205] VGA switcheroo: detected Optimus DSM method
\_SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP handle
[14321.977207] nouveau: detected PR support, will not use DSM
[14321.977236] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0003)

Note Lyude works from the Westford office, not sure where you are located,
but if you're also in Westford you might just want to drop by her desk :)
She switched to the Boston office, so I can't walk over anymore. But I can
still reach out to her.
Thanks!
