Yeah, so Fedora (tries to) do releases in may and october each year.
However, it would be ideal if there was a new major koji release long
before the Fedora releases so we have time to shake any issues out, etc
We no longer do an Alpha, but it would be nice to have a new major koji
release about a month before Beta. So we can land it, make sure its
happpy, etc. That would amount to around Feb and beginning of Aug each
year.
We can of course adjust, but if you are considering a 6month major cycle
that one would be nicest for us.
That's not too bad for us in Mageia. Our release cycle usually means
we wind up releasing either around FOSDEM or during the summer/early
fall.
