Update to this article plan.
The talking points[1] are a much more concise list and description of
features more suitable for a "What's New" article. I will leave that as
a separate article to be drafted or written by whomever.
The content of *this* article has possibly changed too. My main
motivation for writing a "GNOME 3.28 features" article was to create a
medium to communicate some contentious changes to Nautilus in 3.28.
Upon feedback from some of the folks on the GNOME engagement team, I
have rewritten the section on desktop icons as a much longer piece. I
feel like it might be worthy of an article on its own. My draft is
here[2].
I can either propose it as a standalone article, or include it in a
summary of GNOME 3.28 features. Is this worthy of an article by itself?

I wrote a section about the desktop icon removal. The rest of the
article is still being written, but this section is particularly hot.
I'd like to get as much input and attention as possible on it. Could
someone take a look?
