Hi Paul,
The image for the Arduino Control menu was taken from the GNOME Extension
site. I didnt get any special permissions for it. The bottom of the
extensions site shows the copyright license as CC-BY-SA, so I thought it
would be safe to use.
The developer of the extension does not have the image on his page
https://github.com/simonthechipmunk/arduinocontrol/blob/master/README.md so
I'm not sure who took that screenshot.
I feel to be on the safe-side maybe we should remove that image. I want to
avoid the magazine having any issues regarding copyrighted material. The
extension is customizable so it may look different depending on the
developer's project and because of that it shouldn't break the consistency
of the article.
All the other screenshots I did myself so those images are good.
I went and visited the extensions site here:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/894/arduino-control/
It looks like this is CC-BY, but maybe it changed recently? In any
case, I'll go ahead and strike the thumbnail -- it's no big deal, just
something I noticed as I was trying to plow through email backlog.
