I asked a question here, a few days back, to get recommendations on screencasters. Unfortunately nothing worked for me. I ask at Ask Fedora and got the explanation of the problem root and a solution. I wonder if it would make sense to write an updated article about recording the screen on Fedora. Here's the one we have from 2016: https://fedoramagazine.org/taking-screencast-fedora/ Probably not using ffmpeg, though.
