Subject: Free and Open Source Day 2010 (FossDay'10) at IIUM
To: kagesenshi.87(a)gmail.com
Hi Izhar,
I'm Aki, a student from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).
The Kulliyyah or faculty of ICT student society of IIUM are planing to
organize an
open source event called the Free and Open Source Software Day 2010
(FossDay '10).
This is a one day event that takes place on the 12th of February 2010.
It takes place in our faculty at the Gombak campus.
Among the programs that we have installed for that day are:
1. Open source talks
2. Installfest
We would like to invite the Fedora Malaysia team to help us with the
installfest on FossDay '10.
Should you be interested in this event, please do email me at this
email and we can discuss further details.
Thank you.
Regards,
Aki.

This is a fun and interesting game that I felt you guys should know for
3 things:
1. It's fun and interesting (obviously).
2. Has both 32bit & 64bit versions so you don't have to muck around with
32<->64 libraries.
3. Works great (only the screen transitions are slow though) on my
notebooks Radeon 4570 GPU *USING* open source ATI drivers!
4. No yucky serials, activation, DRM, etc.
Credit should be given where credit is due to such dedicated indie
developers where the user doesn't have to run through hoops to get what
they paid for. I'm trying to get my wife to tryout the game. If she
likes it, I may buy another copy for her if it's still on discount.

lets hope this got through :D ..

Hi,
I've spent past few weeks on a new site, revamped for Fedora-My.
Hopefully this new one would be more useful content wise for our
usage.
I have posted a brief guide on how to use the site here:
http://fedora.foss.org.my/resources/publications/all-publications/how-to-us…
If you have proposals for Fedora-My, so suggest some by adding it here:
http://fedora.foss.org.my/resources/proposals
Have videos on Fedora / FOSS to share? . Add them here:
http://fedora.foss.org.my/resources/videos
I believe many of you stored pictures of our past activities but does
not have a place to upload it to share with the rest of the community.
If you do store pics related to Fedora-My, please add them here:
http://fedora.foss.org.my/resources/photo-gallery
Last but not least .. if you know any upcoming FOSS or Fedora related
events in Malaysia or event the rest of the world, do add them into
our event calendar:
http://fedora.foss.org.my/events
Current Administrators of the site:
- Me (KageSenshi)
- Sniffit
- BrianRitchie
By default, all new contents are held pending for review before
appearing to public. Do buzz us if you want your submitted content to
be published and shown to public
