Wiki Licensing

The Fedora Documentation Project has agreed to the OPL[1] for all formal documentation. We now wish to apply this same license to the fedoraproject.org wiki. This will require some dramatic actions and changes, and will have a huge impact on contributions to the wiki. The single biggest change would be the requirement of the CLA for EditGroup privileges. Rather than make a closed and unilateral decision, this is now briefly open for discussion. The currently-proposed plan is now on the wiki[2], and this wiki page is the place to add your comments. You may subscribe to the page if you wish to keep track of things. If the decision is made to go through with this plan (and, no, it isn't a vote), changes would happen quickly. The decision is ultimately up to the Fedora Foundation board and a few key personnel. The idea already has the backing of the Fedora Documentation Project, myself, and our top wiki editors. Draft: Marketing Wiki Page

Following an IRC discussion with Rahul, last month, we came up with the idea of designing a template before the Fedora Core 5 Release. I did it now, at least a draft . Fedora Ambassador Walker Book Project

Thinking about our needs to promote Fedora, Free and Open Source Software, I think that could be an interesting idea develope a "Walker Book" to spread Fedora Potential and FOSS ideas. Contents, slides, tech and non-tech content that could help us to "unify the speech"around the world. If the Counsil is agree I would Like to start this project in the Main Wiki. *Another Tips* Next week will be on line www.fedoracore.com.ar. The objetive for this website is bring Spanish guide to Fedora and Open Source contents. This will be developed with Joomla Technolgy and Wiki, Chat rooms, etc. Red Hat for South Cone will bring me some help to start Fedora Community in Argentina for a start. I will recieve help from another local community members.We will start with a Fedora Core Conference in Buenos Aires probably before FISL7. Distributing Kadischi FC5 Test 2 Live cds

Hello there, Finally, we (Kadischi Contributors) came out with a ""working"" Kadischi for Fedora Core 5 Test 2. Some of you have read about our progress on fp.org/people or on my blog. Ive shown to some of my friends my live cd today based on Fedora Core 5 Test 2. Most of them have seen Fedora Core 4 and Fedora Core 5 Test 2 has shown them how much progress we've made. The comments were fairly outstanding especially for our new Logo and artwork. 2 FC4 users are planning to shift to FC5 once it's out. Ive seen ThomasChung has launched a FreeMedia project. Personally this is a great idea. But now soon Fedora Core 5 will be out with THE NEW LOGO. We need to start something exceptional for this upcoming release. Im burning some copies of my Fedora Live CD for tomorrow's lug meeting. Im thinking about sets of: -(only) Gnome based cds -(only) KDE based cds (some guys are pro-kde) :) - a complete dvd Sure there will be based only on the Fedora Policies :) So maybe this might be another aspect of FreeMedia Project.
