release slogan, round 2.
by Robyn Bergeron
In an effort to come up with something that ties into our theme, I've
done a little bit of thinking about some of our theme descriptions
(http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_14_release_slogan#Themes).
I started off with some words, and flipped (err, hit spacebar a lot)
through the thesaurus online to see what other words came up.
I started off with - emerge/emergence - started working with the words
lead, rise, direction, advance... still didn't get a lot of things.
But what I have so far is:
Rise Up.
Be everywhere.
Soar.
Annnnnnd... that's it.
I'm not sure if we should kick off a second wiki table on the same
page, or just bring suggestions to the marketing meeting on tuesday.
If anyone would like to throw in a suggestion either way, I'm happy to
follow.

F14 release slogan - question for all
by Robyn Bergeron
So - I was doing a bit of poking around on the intarwebs today and
discovered that MS has a new slogan (as of July 22) - "Be what's
next."
Our slogan chosen yesterday (and now approved by RH Legal) is - "Be More."
These seem... slightly similar to me (just as far as the "Be" part
goes) - does anyone find this uncomfortably similar?
Thoughts welcomed - if we have any rapid objections, I think we could
revisit it, otherwise I think we can go ahead as previously planned
and announce this.

Self-Introduction: Luis Alvarenga
by Luis Alvarenga
Hi, my name is Luis Alvarenga and I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. My
Fedora Account System (FAS) username is lcralvarenga, and I am new to IRC
and would like help getting started!
I learned about the Fedora Marketing team through the web site of Brazil
Fedora Project , and am interested in joining because I really want
contributing to growing of Fedora Project in my country
This is the first FOSS project I have worked on!
This is the first Marketing project I have worked on!
My skills, which I hope to utilize in Fedora Marketing, include:
Marketing Skills – None, not yet. I have some theoretical knowledge about
marketing, but no practical work. I am currently working with IT projects as
project manager.
Other Skills – Creative, organized, committed and with a great desire to
learn and help in the development of the Fedora Project in my community.
I'd also like to learn through my involvement with the community, like
learning about areas that interest me and would like to work on.
When I'm not working on Fedora, I am working at Value Team IT Consulting.
A couple of goals I have for the Fedora Project are to help promote Fedora
in Brazil in cooperation with the Brazil Fedora community, and also to help
develop the local community through educating the public about Fedora.
Please help me get started!

Fwd: F14 Talking Points - Need something for Sugar
by Sebastian Dziallas
Hi!
Simon from Sugar Labs got us a nice summary of the upcoming features
in Sugar 0.90, so I threw these on the wiki page. Does this look sane?
Changes and editing more than welcome!

Hi Folks,
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_14_talking_points#Sugar_0.90
The note for Sugar needs a little love in Marketing's talking points -
is anyone able to fill in some detail here so we can wrap these up? :)
Thanks!
