fedora magazine: (minor) use libravatar.org instead of gravatar
by Matthew Miller
Looks like the magazine site is using Gravatar instead of Libravatar. We use
the latter for a lot of other things in Fedora. Not a huge deal but it would
be nice to be consistent. What do you all think?

fedora magazine suggestion
by Matthew Miller
I notice that the excerpts on the front page are very short. There's
probably a parameter for this somewhere -- it looks like they are 30 words.
I think it might be nice if this were increased significantly, to 100 words
or so.
I also continue to think that the flashing banner at the top is a
distraction from the content. But that's a separate issue. :)

Meetings suspended
by Ruth Suehle
There was vague agreement last week to not hold meetings at which we don't have an agenda, as the list is a better way to make sure everyone is involved (or at least aware) rather than a few people. In the event of specific projects that would benefit from meetings, those can be held as one-offs.

Magazine Maintenance Complete
by Chris A. Roberts
Hey Everyone,
I have completed the maintenance for the magazine.
Things that got accomplished:
NaN. Removed all spam users
NaN. fixed all posts and made sure they were in the correct category, removed posts that were corrupted during the rebuild of the magazine I did in December.
NaN. Disabled registrations (this was brought up in a marketing meeting, if someone wants to contribute they can sign up through the process we have established, ie wiki)
NaN. Tuned some performance settings in the Total cache plugin
NaN. Corrected all 404 pages and changed them to an active linkRe-installed the contact form plugin and fixed the 404 on the contact us page
NaN. Installed the Query Monitor plugin so I can gather detailed info about the bugs that we have ongoing. (Not enough info to TS from the OpenShift logs, this plugin captures all requests when a page is clicked and shows the mysql database rows/tables that are affected and all the php hooks and so forth)
Thanks everyone I will be doing another maintenance either Monday or Tuesday and try to accomplish some more on my to do list.
Again if you see any bugs with the site please submit them on the Marketing Trac so I can pick them up :)

Magazine Maintenance
by Chris A. Roberts
Hey All,
I am going to be working on some bugs and getting rid of the spam users, making sure there are not any 404 links and also making sure all the posts are in the right category's. I am also getting our events on the wiki synced with the event calendar on the magazine. This should not impact anyone and the site will remain online during this time. If I need to bring it down I will send out a following email.
Who: Everyone who goes to the fedoramagazine.org domain
What: General housekeeping and bugfixes
Why: To make sure the magazine stays online and performance meets Fedora standards.
When: 12 PM EST - 6PM EST
Thanks,
Chris Roberts

Meeting scheduled today, do we need it?
by Joe Brockmeier
Hey all,
We have a meeting scheduled for today at 20:00 UTC. Do we have any
agenda items that we need to go over today?
I think we've been doing more meeting than doing lately, so unless
there's something urgent to discuss today I move we spend today's hour
doing actual content for the magazine or other work and skip meeting.
Thoughts, comments, flames?
Best,
jzb
