Seeking a new team lead
by Ruth Suehle
Hi, marketing team! Some time ago, it was intended to be among my primary work to lead this team, but that's been a while, and I have a lot of other priorities at Red Hat now. The F21 launch is fast approaching, and it would be great if someone would be willing to step up to lead the marketing team. It can be a big time commitment, as we often go through periods without a lot of active contributors on this team interspersed with spurts of activity. But I'd love to see someone take over and make a killer launch for 21! Who's up for it?

Fedora Marketing Meeting to go over responibilbites and ideas
by Chris Roberts
Hi Everyone,
Matthew Miller sent out an email a little bit ago about getting together to discuss sharing responsibility and bring together ideas.
I wanted to send out a whenisgood so we can get most of the people together and go over ideas, responsibilities, and just a general direction of where we are currently and where we need to go. I wanted to do this before Flock, so I have set the date range from the 21st-27th.
Here is the link to the meeting:

Fedora Magazine - Failed login attempts
by Zacharias Mitzelos
I logged in to the Magazine today because I would like to start in an
article. Jetpack's Security Audit is a widget from jetpack that we have
enabled, which shows you the latest security logs in the administrator's
dashboard, and I saw that there are 287 failed logins (and counting) to
the username 'admin'
Is there a way to implement a captcha plugin at the login page? Is there
anything else we could do?
I have removed all privileges of 'admin' for now (since it's an account
that non of us use), and btw I promoted mattdm from editor to admin.

MOAR magazine!
by Matthew Miller
Hey everyone! As Ryan mentioned, we've had a very successful couple of
months with Fedora Magazine. But in order to continue, we need more writers.
Clearly begging for more is not an effective approach. What can we actually
do to get more people involved?
/me is off to put some of my money where my mouth is and do this week's
5tFTW....

problems with facebook as a way to reach users
by Matthew Miller
This is probably old hat to some of the social media experts here, but I
found it enlightening, especially in light of recent comments about our
presence there. <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9ZqXlHl65g>
It certainly mirrors my experience with the Facebook group -- lots of
members, but very low engagement.
