working on f23 final release announcement
by Matthew Miller
Thanks to everyone who helped pull together the F23 beta annoucement.
I'd like us to give ourselves a little more time for the final
annoucement. :)
The beta annoucement is usually targeted at a fairly technical
audience, and that makes sense, but when that hits the mainstream press
— even the mainstream tech press — that tends to lead to reporting
like this sarcastic gem:
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2427241/red-hat-releases-fedora-...
For the final release annoucement, I'd like to refer to release notes
(or package lists, or whatever) for the details, and focus more on The
Exciting Story of Fedora 23.
Please help me write that story. What have we got to work with?

I can translate it to Greek, but only if I have the English version.

Self-introduction: (Denis Otugo)
by Denis Otugo
Hello my name is Denis Otugo but you can call me wesley, i reside,
base and lived all my life in Lagos, Nigeria.. My Fedora Account
System (FAS) username is denisotugo, and i have no idea how to use
IRC, i need some walkingthrough help.
I learned about the Fedora through frustration with debian derivatives
and google, and am interested in joining because fedora when i
installed was flawless but the world does not seem to take full notice
or acknowledge its beauty while mediocre was placed as the face of
linux and it took me aback my first week with fedora, it was like to a
joy unspeakable, a perfect system. it took frustration and google to
find fedora unlike the faces of linux. i have been into social media,
SEO, Internet Advertising for 4 years, i have a list of websites but
my newest and close to my heart right now is http://learnthegeek.com .
This seems like the right place in helping fedora be better and
greater and it would be a honor and joy to be part of it.
Marketing skills:
| Internet Advertising
| Social Media Management
| and also i want to learn more and better.
Other skills:
| Web &Mobile Web Designer
| CMS Management
| A Learning Linux User
| A Youtube Guy Trying To Do A Comeback.
| Never die and Turn-up Master
When I'm not working on Fedora, I am a post-graduate student of
mechanical engineering at University of benin.
My Goals wish to achieve are to get Fedora out there and basically in
your faces, telling the good news of fedora to everyone and also to be
better at marketing, well alot better.
I am wondering about what has been done in Marketing in the past.
Please walk me through to get started!

Github pages/Pelican article
by Paul W. Frields
I finished editing this article, and it should be ready for
publication once it has a featured image.
One note to authors: When you create an article draft, please take the
time to fully outline the steps required for a user, AND test them.
Editors may not always have the ability to check the technical details
in your article, which results in a less useful magazine post.

Access to Magazine/community site
by Paul W. Frields
Patrick finally got me sorted out so I can help with system
maintenance.
I took the opportunity to:
(1) Backup all WP files and db content
* I know this is happening already in Updraft, but just in case...
(2) Update the WP instance to 4.3.1 to address known security issue
(3) Update old plugins
* akismet
* jetpack
* updraftplus
* user-role-editor
* wordpress-seo

Fwd: fedoramagazine.org Wordpress theme
by František Zatloukal
Hi,
I am editor in chief of Czech community website fedora.cz . Apart from
doing editor job I am planning to deploy new theme on the web. I wanted to
ask you if somebody could send me source code of fedoramagazine theme? It
would greatly help me if I won't have to write new theme completely but
just modify existing theme a little :)
Many thanks!

FedMag Pitch: OpenVPN
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
I just wanted to share this pitch I drafted for review at the meeting
next Thursday. I feel like VPNs / OpenVPN is something that a lot of
people in the gaming community in particular are looking to do, and I
think it might have some appeal to that side of the community as well as
others looking to protect their online privacy.

Thanks!
