whats new in f23 workstation -- and release day! woot
by Ryan Lerch
Hi all,
As with f22, i have done up the more in-depth overview of some of the
new features in f23 workstation:
http://fedoramagazine.org/?p=10665&preview_id=10665&preview=true
can someone have an editorial look at it for me?
I started looking at the Cloud and Server ones, but i really don't have
enough knowledge in these areas to be able to do up a post like this --
anyone care to have a crack?
Also, other ideas for posts like this might cover the python3 everywhere
post. I also reached out to the KDE folks to see if they wanted to do a
post about what is new in KDE in f23 (not sure if that post went to
thier list properly or not, because i havent heard back). Also a post
about the new cinnamon spin might be a good idea too -- lots of
screenshots of what it looks like.
We also have jflory's updating to f23 post to go out post release as well.
Jumping offline now for a few hours, but will be back later to help keep
prepping for release day!
I assume we are all hanging out in #fedora-mktg to help co-ordinate our
publicity. Maybe we should set up a etherpad to to track a bit of a
checklist too...
cheers,

Magazine posts to G+ Page
by Lord Drachenblut
I've been going back on some of the magazine posts to the G+ page and
adding to them when I can who the author was and linking to their g+
profile and fedora wiki pages.
I think this helps give people more information about the article and gives
credit to the authors. I was hoping that this could be made to be a part
of posting a magazine article instead of it being added after the fact.

Posting to Social media warning
by Lord Drachenblut
I think we need to be careful about posting to social media sites in the
future. Many of them automatically choose a picture from the site to use
with the link. Sometimes it can lead to things I think some people might
find offensive.
Case in point this recent G+ post
While many may not care I think the picture DevAss might be taken as
offensive and we need to watch out for such things. I'm very tempted to
pull this version down and repost it and cycle threw the images to
something which would be seen as less offensive.

#203: F23 final release announcement - draft

Reporter: mailga | Owner:
Type: task | Status: new
Priority: major | Milestone: Future releases
Component: Release deliverables | Severity: urgent

I'm not aware if anyone already started to write the Release Announcement
for the F23 final, so I started a draft
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User_talk:Mailga | on my Fedora Wiki page]
in parallel with jflory7 is doing on
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Jflory7/Scratchpad/F23_Release_Announ...
| his wikipage].
The target here is not merely repeat the Beta Announcement, that is a good
base to work, but produce a user POV as well.
According to what I read in ML list in the last months, since the beta
announce, I'm going to split the two points of view (User and System?).
The goal (in my mind) is achieve a tool which may be used both by
Marketing and Ambassadors.
Of course any suggestion is welcome and everyone is free to edit, say, add
his contribute.
Thanks
Gabri
