Fedora Branding in Mobile App
by Arvind Chembarpu
Hi,
I've been working on a Fedora news hub, to be released as an app (which will be open-sourced).
I was hoping to be able to use Fedora branding for the app, when publishing it on app stores.
I've emailed the @logo alias [1], but as stated in the wiki [2], I understand it takes time for a response.
However, I was hoping to get some additional guidance from the Marketing team about the procedure and permissions involved.
If anyone has any ideas or can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)
Cheers,
Arvind Chembarpu

Forwarding from social-media list if anyone could get this for Monday,
since it's time-sensitive. Not sure if it would be easier to schedule it
or just set a reminder to post.

[Magazine] [Minutes] [2016-07-14] Brainstorming for new articles, creating stubs
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
We just finished up this week's Magazine editorial board meeting. We
mostly focused on brainstorming some ideas for short, new articles that
we can get out in the next and coming weeks. We're going to try creating
short stubs that are smaller topics that new authors can try tackling to
get a feel for writing for the Magazine before moving on to a bigger topic.

[Minutes] [2016-07-13] Elections, FOSCo brainstorming, new meeting time
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
This week's meeting was fairly short - it was just me and x3mboy in
attendance. We skipped tickets, but covered some announcements.
The two biggest things to know are the FOSCo brainstorming meeting
coming up this Monday and picking a new meeting time for future
meetings. Check out both of these links for more info.

Invitation to the FOSCo brainstorm meeting 2016-07-18 13:00 UTC
by Christoph Wickert
Hi everybody,
for quite some time now, Fedora has been discussing the idea of FOSCo,
the Fedora Outreach Steering Committee, a body to coordinate all our
outreach efforts. Now it's time to make it happen!
On behalf of FAmSCo and the Fedora Council, I'd like to invite all of
you to an all-hands
FOSCo brainstorm meeting on
Monday, August 18th at 13:00 UTC
in #fedora-council on freenode
So far, the following participants have confirmed attendance:
* Ambassadors: cwickert, giannisk, gnokii, mailga, potty, tuanta
* Council: mattdm
* Design team: gnokii
* Marketing: jflory7
* CommOps: jflory7
* Websites: mailga
* Docs: zoglesby
* g11n: noriko
The fact that we already have a good team of volunteers should not
stop you from attending, in fact, we would like to hear more voices
from all stakeholders. The more, the better!
To get an idea what FAmSCo has been working on so far, please have a look at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FOSCo and
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FOSCo_status
None of this is set in stone yet, and we feel we need your input
before we go any further. We are looking forward to your input and to
meet you next Monday!
Best regards,
Christoph

Hi,
I'm happy to report progress regarding FOSCo, the Fedora Outreach
Steering Committee.
1. We set up two wiki pages at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FOSCo
and https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FOSCo_status
2. We have a representatives form all relevant groups
* Ambassadors: cwickert and all FAmSCo members
* Design team: gnokii
* Marketing: jflory7
* CommOps: jflory7
* Websites: mailga
* Docs: zoglesby
* g11n: noriko
For now all of them just volunteered to act as a point of contact
while we bootstrap FOSCo. It's on the groups to decide whether they
will be appoint somebody else later or just confirm the current
representatives. robyduck has already volunteered to take over
websites (he's just really busy atm) and noriko has indicated to step
down at some point later.
3. We were able to schedule a brainstorm session with all
representatives and FAmSCo members. It will take place in
#fedora-council on Monday, August 18th at 13:00 UTC. Please join us!
(I opted for #fedora-council as the other meeting channels have a
tight schedule and only would allow for a 1,5h slot.)
While we (mainly decause and me) initially set August 1st as deadline
for FAmSCo to submit a final proposal to the council, I think it is
important that we do it right and have the support from all teams,
even if it takes a while. I'm confident that we can work something out
for or during FLOCK and then we are basically back to the schedule we
planned.
Best regards,
Christoph
