Yes, that is intentional. The native package is also still stuck at 1.2.8, and
according to the mingw pacakging guidelines, these versions should match.

yes, that is intentional, because the native version is also at 1.2.7 and
according to the mingw packaging guidelines, mingw packages should be at the
same version as the native packages. Thanks for looking at it though!
