i'm not really understand you comment. since the gnulib is part of the gettext tarball so the same gnulib compile on both case, then how can it effect the compilation? since it's compile on f-9 then why not on rhel-5? what's more that's the latest gettext source.

on the other hand there is no such tool as gnulib-tool in it anywhere:-(
