Hello. Just a quick note that we finally brought back "fedora.inode.at" after some hardware issues. I think it was listed in the official mirror lists a while back. The machine used to be run by an ex-employee but is now managed by an internal team.
I'm going to re-add it to the mirror lists using the current processes via the web gui. Thanks.

Thanks for supporting Fedora. I had a look at your MirrorManager entry and it seems correct. I also see that your mirror is reachable via rsync. If you could add rsync URLs to the "Fedora Linux" and "Fedora EPEL" categories that would be great. Crawling the mirror content via rsync is much faster than using http. That would help us a lot.
If there are any further questions do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks. I didn't try adding the rsync URL as it was already failing to accept ftp URLs. Turns out today that rsync:// works while ftp:// fails with "Unsupported URL format". Tried both Chrome and IE. Any way I could add the FTP addresses as well? Seems other mirrors have them added.
Fedora linux: ftp://fedora.inode.at EPEL: ftp://mirror.inode.at/epel/
Thanks

Thanks for providing the rsync URLs!

Adding FTP URLs is no longer possible. It seems you are the first mirror to detect it. We just recently started blocking FTP to be entered as URLs into the database. We will also remove the existing FTP URLs from the database in a next step. We see no value in providing FTP URLs as HTTP and RSYNC are better in regards to firewalling and natting. To reduce problems on client systems we decided to no longer offer FTP URLs to our clients.
