Hi all
Does anyone know of a budget usb 3.0 audio interface? If so, does anyone
know the performance/compatibility with linux?
I've previously only used pci-e, and usb 1.1 seems like really old tech for
this kind of thing.
cheers
Nicho

There aren't many because USB 3.0 is overkill for everything but devices
with extreme numbers of channels like the 196 input/198 out RME MADIface
XT. USB 2.0 has more than enough bandwidth for almost all audio purposes.

The Focusrite Scarlett series is a good balance of budget & quality and
works with Linux. There are a handful of models available with different
amounts of I/O.
