Fwd: using macro is a little slower with mutt 1.6
by Xu Wang
I have now tested on mutt and cannot reproduce the problem, so I
believe it might be due to the mutt-kz rebase patches. Can anyone
confirm? (I give simple example below to test).
Kind regards,
Xu

Subject: using macro is a little slower with mutt 1.6
To: mutt-users <mutt-users(a)mutt.org>
Dear all,
First, exciting to see new version of mutt!
Most seems as expected. However, I find that mutt now spells out all
of the macros when I use them. I don't know how to describe. For
example, if I have
macro index m "<enter-command>set editor='vim"'<enter><mail>" "mail"
when I press "m", I see all of the keypresses in the status bar. It is
quick, but still I did not see that happen in 1.5.23.
Does anyone also notice this change of behavior? Is it impressive?
Note that I use mutt-kz so there is always possibility that problem is
with the patches rebased on top. That's why I check here.
Kind regards,
Xu

Compilation error with --enable-notmuch: no member name "msg_count"
by Xu Wang
Hi,
I am quite excited to update to 1.6, however I get compilation error.
I believe error is due to the --enable-notmuch option.
$ ./prepare --enable-imap --enable-hcache --with-ssl --with-sasl
--enable-notmuch --enable-smtp --enable-debug
...
$ make
...
browser.c: In function ‘examine_vfolders’:
browser.c:529:42: error: ‘BUFFY {aka struct buffy_t}’ has no member
named ‘msg_count’
nm_nonctx_get_count(tmp->path, &tmp->msg_count, &tmp->msg_unread);

Any thoughts on a solution?
Kind regards,
Xu

version 1.6 branch
by Xu Wang
Dear mutt-kz list,
Thank you for updating already to the mutt 1.6.0 release. That is great!
However, when I go to github, can someone explain what the difference
between master branch and v1.6.0 branch is? (or if no difference now
what expectation is for difference in future?)
Further when I click on v1.6.0 branch at bottom it says "README for
mutt-1.5". So it is not yet 1.6?
Sorry for my ignorance. I really do appreciate every work being done
for this great maintaining of mutt-kz.
Kind regards,
Xu

[ANNOUNCE] mutt-kz v1.6.0.1
by Karel Zak
The mutt-kz release v1.6.0.1 is available at
ftp://redcrew.org/pub/mutt-kz/v1.6.0.1
For more information and binary packages see
https://kzak.redcrew.org/doku.php?id=mutt:start
Note for developers and downstream packages: the master branch is
going to be *rebased* from time to time. The goal is to keep mutt-kz
up to date with mutt upstream and minimize maintenance overhead. This
development model also helps to keep mutt-kz usable with another
non-upstream patches (for example as maintained by neo-mutt project).
The signed release tags and stable maintenance releases are available
in stable/v<version (e.g. stable/v1.6.0) branches. These branches is
going to be never rebased.
Thanks to all contributors! Feedback and bug reports, as always, are
welcomed.
Karel
