Well, I do feel dumb now, when I realized that folder-hook can be used with
notmuch:// URIs perfectly.
Pardon my ignorance :)

Hello everyone,
I'm a novice mutt/mutt-kz user, so please excuse me if this question does not
belong to this list.
Previously, I was using mutt, set up to have multiple maildirs, and the
identities were switched automatically, based on folder I was on (using
folder-hooks).
What is the preferred way of handling multiple identities (I actually need
sendmail an from changed between the identities), using mutt-kz and vfolders?
I see a few solutions:
1) Switch the identities by a macro. I tried this, and in a few days
I have already replied to two e-mails using the wrong one.
2) Parse the message I'm replying to, trying to match to: and cc: headers for
one of my identities to choose the right one. I think I have seen some
examples for this for regular mutt, so this should be doable. This still has
to be combined with 1st approach to select identity when composing new mail.
3) Choose identity based on notmuch tag(s). I think I can automatically tag incoming
messages, so this would fundamentally be the same as 2nd approach.
4) ?
What do you use to manage multiple identities in mutt-kz (while not giving away
vfolders)?
Kind regards,
