I am copy/pasting the plain text bit here, as I am unsure what format
you would require it in.
We recently presented NeuroFedora at FOSDEM in the Open Research Tools
and Technologies Devroom. This edition of FOSDEM brought a lot of
changes, and one of them was the Open Research devroom. It attracted
dozens of people, researchers, and FOSS enthusiasts.
We discussed many aspects of how NeuroFedora came into action, why do
we need NeuroFedora, the use-cases, and the impact that it will/should
create in the research-general world. Many people appreciated the
group and the Fedora project for their efforts and aiding the research
Following FOSDEM, we also got an opportunity to present NeuroFedora in
one of eLife's Innovation Leader's cohort calls. The organizer for the
same got to know about NeuroFedora through our talk at FOSDEM as well.
We presented on how we started the neuro-sig, and how we planned a
roadmap, along with some metrics.
Overall, I would say that FOSDEM was a great experience and useful in
putting the word about NeuroFedora so that people can use it to ease
their research work and, at the same time, review the same.
You can obviously review the same and snip off some non-useful part
(as deemed fit for the blog).
Do tell me if some modifications are required as well. :D
