Hi everyone,
Hi Henry,
Welcome to the community!
I'd be interested in getting involved in some way with this
project - my
strongest experience is in full-stack web development, however I do have
experience with languages like Python and Java.
To introduce myself a bit more, I'm currently finishing my Software Engineering
degree at the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia), and I'm halfway
through my final-year project at the Queensland Brain Institute.
I look forward to hearing from you!
That sounds great! Is there anything in particular you're interested in?
Perhaps something you'd like to learn/practice? We could then see if
there are tasks that you can work on related to these skills. That way
it benefits you and you help NeuroFedora too. :)
In general, there's always lots to do around here. As a Linux
distribution, our primary task is to build and package software from
upstream developers so that users can install it easily to use on Fedora
systems. So, most of our technical work revolves around this. It
includes building software from source, packaging it into RPMs, QA,
releases, documentation, troubleshooting, bug-fixing, bug-reporting,
submitting patches to upstream developers, and so on.
Do you want to take a look at the contributor roles to see what you
find interesting? We're also in the chat channels, so you can ping us
there when it suits you?
