It'd be great if -initialize took multiple NICs/subnets into account. On larger installations (like mine) you have more than one subnet of thin clients on more than one NIC. Personally I'm using .0.x and .1.x but it would be nice if a multi-NIC setup wasn't a long and involved kludge process that required you to work around automated settings.
If you can do patches that allow multi-nic setup, I think that'd be great, maybe they could be in the variable like
LTSP_DEV=eth1,eth2
However at some point it becomes necessary to do things manually, generality is not always achievable without harmful complexity. But I guess that it should be up to Eric to determine whether this is bloat or useful feature.
