Summary: Review Request: figtoipe - FIG to IPE conversion tool
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: laurent.rineau__fedora(a)normalesup.org
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-package-review@redhat.com,notting(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://www.normalesup.org/~rineau/Fedora/figtoipe.spec
SRPM URL: http://www.normalesup.org/~rineau/Fedora/figtoipe-20071004-3.fc9.src.rpm
Description:
Figtoipe is a program that reads FIG files (as generated by
xfig) and generates an XML file readable by the Ipe editor.
Note #1: That tool was previously shipped with the Ipe editor itself. From ipe-6.0pre30, figtoipe is released in another tarball. Maybe I should add a field "Obsoletes: ipe < 6.0-0.23.pre30". I am not used to the semantic of Obsoletes: and I am not sure of that. What do you think?
Note #2: the spec file is really simple. No call to configure or make. Just one call to g++, and a manual installation. I use perl to extract a changelog from the .cpp file. That way I can make it a %doc.

Spec URL: http://terjeros.fedorapeople.org/msort/msort.spec
SRPM URL: http://terjeros.fedorapeople.org/msort/msort-8.45-1.fc9.src.rpm
Description:
Msort is a program for sorting files in sophisticated ways. Records
need not be single lines. Key fields may be selected by position, tag,
or character range. For each key, distinct exclusions, multigraphs,
substitutions. and a sort order may be defined. Comparisons may be
lexicographic, numeric, by string length, date, or time. Optional keys
are supported. Msort uses the Unicode character set and provides full
Unicode case-folding. The basic program has a somewhat complex command
line interface, but may be driven by an optional GUI.

[Bug 447559] New: Review Request: perl-GO-TermFinder - Identify GO nodes that annotate a group of genes with a significant p-value

Summary: Review Request: perl-GO-TermFinder - Identify GO nodes
that annotate a group of genes with a significant p-
value
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: kanarip(a)kanarip.com

Spec URL: http://pilot.genomicscenter.nl/genomics/SPECS/perl-GO-TermFinder.spec
SRPM URL: http://pilot.genomicscenter.nl/genomics/el5/SRPMS/perl-GO-TermFinder-0.82...
Description: This package is intended to provide a method whereby the P-values of a set
of GO annotations can be determined for a set of genes, based on the number
of genes that exist in the particular genome (or in a selected background
distribution from the genome), and their annotation, and the frequency with
which the GO nodes are annotated across the provided set of genes. The
P-value is simply calculated using the hypergeometric distribution as the
probability of x or more out of n genes having a given annotation, given
that G of N have that annotation in the genome in general. We chose the
hypergeometric distribution (sampling without replacement) since it is more
accurate, though slower to calculate, than the binomial distribution
(sampling with replacement).
Additional Information:
This is my first perl package ;-)
- Targeted for EL-5, F-8, F-9 and rawhide. See also koji scratch builds:

Summary: Review Request: file-browser-applet - File Browser

Product: Fedora

ReportedBy: dakingun(a)gmail.com

Spec URL: ftp://czar.eas.yorku.ca/pub/fba/file-browser-applet.spec
SRPM URL: ftp://czar.eas.yorku.ca/pub/fba/file-browser-apple
Description: File Browser Applet is an applet for the GNOME Panel. It lets you browse
and open files in your home directory from the gnome panel, without having to
open a file manager. It is _not_ intended as replacement to proper file
managers like nautilus. Sometimes you (like me) just want to open a file and
don't want to have to open a file manager, browse to and open the file, then
close the file manager. This Applet just saves you couple of clicks.
