Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW

Severity: medium
Priority: medium

CC: package-review(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: https://ngompa.fedorapeople.org/for-review/wlcs.spec
SRPM URL: https://ngompa.fedorapeople.org/for-review/wlcs-1.0.0-1.fc30.src.rpm
Description:
wlcs aspires to be a protocol-conformance-verifying test suite
usable by Wayland compositor implementors.
It is growing out of porting the existing Weston test suite to
be run in Mir's test suite, but it is designed to be usable by
any compositor.
wlcs relies on compositors providing an integration module,
providing wlcs with API hooks to start a compositor, connect a
client, move a window, and so on.
This makes both writing aid debugging tests easier - the tests
are (generally) in the same address space as the compositor, so
there is a consistent global clock available, it's easier to poke
around in compositor internals, and standard debugging tools can
follow control flow from the test client to the compositor and
back again.

[Bug 1729716] New: Review Request: bdsync - a fast block device
synchronizing tool

Bug ID: 1729716
Summary: Review Request: bdsync - a fast block device
synchronizing tool
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: kevin(a)scrye.com

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: https://scrye.com/~kevin/fedora/review/bdsync.spec
SRPM URL: https://scrye.com/~kevin/fedora/review/bdsync-0.11.1-1.fc31.src.rpm
Description:
Bdsync can be used to synchronize block devices over a network. It generates a
"binary patchfile" in an efficient way by comparing checksums of blocks of the
local block device LOCDEV and the remote block device REMDEV.
This binary patchfile can be sent to the remote machine and applied to its
block device REMDEV, after which the local blockdev LOCDEV and the remote block
device REMDEV are synchronized.
Both LOCDEV, REMDEV and DSTDEV can be true block devices, but may be (image)
files as well. When using an image file for DSTDEV (the **--patch** mode),
the **--diffsize** may be used to resize the image file when appropriate.
bdsync was built to do the only thing rsync isn't able to do: synchronize block
devices.
