Description: This project is a SimTK tool set providing general multi-body dynamics capability, that is, the ability to solve Newton's 2nd law F=ma in any set of generalized coordinates subject to arbitrary constraints. Simbody is provided as an open source, object-oriented C++ API and delivers high-performance, accuracy-controlled science/engineering-quality results.
Simbody uses an advanced Featherstone-style formulation of rigid body mechanics to provide results in Order(n) time for any set of n generalized coordinates. This can be used for internal coordinate modeling of molecules, or for coarse-grained models based on larger chunks. It is also useful for large-scale mechanical models, such as neuro-muscular models of human gait, robotics, avatars, and animation. Simbody can also be used in real time interactive applications for bio-simulation as well as for virtual worlds and games.

The result of fedora-review command[2], we can see
[!]: Uses parallel make %{?_smp_mflags} macro.
According to [1], make command should take %{?_smp_mflags} option. And your spec file does not have the option in the following line.
make -C build doxygen doxygen_Simbody doxygen_SimTKmath doxygen_SimTKcommon
The option should be added to the line, if possible.

(This is not official review)
All publicly posted reviews are official. It's just that for approval there are special requirements (such as becoming the reviewer to take the ticket, or being a packagersponsor for new contributors).

Note that it would have been interesting, if you had filled in all the '[ ]' fields, following the instructions at the top of fedora-review output.
Just a look at the spec file:
Name: simbody Group: Development/Libraries
The Group tag for runtime libraries is "System Environment/Libraries" for many years.
Alternatively, especially for modern releases of Fedora, the tag can be omitted: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Group_tag
%package devel # For datadir/cmake/Modules Requires: cmake
Is that a strict requirement? As in "it's close to impossible to use the -devel package without CMake"? Else: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#The_directory_is_owned_b...
%package doc
It could be made "BuildArch: noarch", couldn't it?
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1055837
--- Comment #3 from Rich Mattes richmattes@gmail.com --- Thanks Kenjiro and Michael.
I'm not sure that the make command for all the doxygen targets is necessary, but it doesn't hurt so I added it.
I don't know where the Group tag came from, I think maybe rpmdev-newspec put it there or I copied it from an older spec. Either way, I've just removed it for Fedora.
The CMake requirement was just for directory, it is still possible to use the -devel package without CMake. I didn't know about that guideline, thanks for pointing it out. I've made the simbody-devel package own datadir/cmake as per the guidlines.
You're also right about the doc subpackage. I made it noarch.
Finally, I fixed rpmlint warnings about the unused shared lib dependencies by adding -Wl,--as-needed to the package's link flags. I also re-arranged the CMake flags so that the "sse2" instruction option is only passed in the x86_64 case, and updated to the latest upstream release.

Your SRPM link is unreachable; there is a http://rmattes.fedorapeople.org/RPMS/simbody/simbody-3.3-1.fc20.src.rpm. Since it's released as Simbody-3.3.1, its rpm package must be simbody-3.3.1-1.fc??.src.rpm Please, fix it; I'm going to review this package.

--- Comment #5 from Rich Mattes richmattes@gmail.com --- Sorry about that, I must have uploaded the wrong SRPM. It's uploaded now, and the link in comment 3 should now be accessible.

--- Comment #6 from Antonio Trande anto.trande@gmail.com --- - This is not latest version. Exists a 3.3.1 that contains changes useful just for Windows systems. The 3.3 release (commit number 32522087f63eab536d34c9a9a281cf50d1a7d5a0) is available here https://github.com/simbody/simbody/archive/Simbody-3.3.tar.gz In that case, commit/shortcommit macros are not necessary. - Remove all bundled files. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:No_Bundled_Libraries
Check these sub-directories: Integrators/src/CPodes/sundials SimTKmath/Optimizers/src/IpOpt
- Change -DSimTK_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr to -DSimTK_INSTALL_PREFIX=%{_prefix} - Check and fix these warning about doxygen

- Maybe, better 'make %{?_smp_mflags} -C build'
- Why do not make example files ? Read Simbody/examples/README.txt and Simbody/examples/README_makefile.txt
