Hi,
I'm packaging serf into Fedora.
Here is the review request:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=973904
However, the reviewer said that this package should follow how was
packaged in oter distros.
Debian and OpenSUSE install headers to /usr/include/serf-1/*.h, but I
just packaged them to /usr/include/*.h
Now I decide to install them to a new folder, should I keep updated
with Debian or OpenSUSE, and install them to /usr/include/serf-1/, or
to /usr/include/serf/?
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Christopher Meng

Hi,
Is it a problem related to isa packaging problem?
Today's update got this:
libsss_idmap{?_isa} = 1.10.0-8.fc20.beta2 for package:
sssd-ad-1.10.0-8.fc20.beta2.i686
---> Package sssd-ipa.i686 0:1.10.0-8.fc20.beta2 will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: libsss_idmap{?_isa} = 1.10.0-8.fc20.beta2
for package: sssd-ipa-1.10.0-8.fc20.beta2.i686
--> Processing Dependency: libipa_hbac{?_isa}
Thanks.

Hi,
Can we revise the current ScriptletSnippets page to suggest packagers
using this macro instead of "%{_datadir}/icons" ?
For example,
%post
/bin/touch --no-create %{_datadir}/icons/hicolor &>/dev/null || :
can be:
%post
/bin/touch --no-create %{_iconsdir}/hicolor &>/dev/null || :
Shorter, right?
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Christopher Meng

Proposed addition to the guidelines:
Independent documentation -doc packages typically don't require the
base package. It should be possible to install documentation without
having to install a program and all its dependencies.
Rationale: Recently, in package review requests, I've seen packagers apply
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Requiring_Base_Package
also to -doc packages. And there are packages in the collection, which
do that, too. This is a hindrance, especially if one only wants to peruse
the documentation or install API documentation for remote developing.
Of course, an exception to this is documentation in a special format,
which can only be viewed within an application.
Thoughts?
