Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I&#39;m new to this list - and have very little package building experience. I joined because I noticed that there is no checkinstall package for Fedora 17 - so I would like to contribute one. Can I ask is there a reason that there is no checkinstall package is available for Fedora 17? Just want to know so that I don&#39;t waste my time doing this only to realise there is a reason not to.</div>

<div><br></div><div>I would plan to take <a href="https://github.com/sevenjay/checkinstall">https://github.com/sevenjay/checkinstall</a> (or something similar) and use that as the basis for creating the checkinstall package.</div>
