Not throwing in an opinion towards any of the suggestions, but what's
the actual problem with using -n to set subpackage names whenever
necessary?
It will be necessary *evertime*. And the '-n' will not influence the
'%package' statement only but common expressions like
| Requires: %name-lib = %version-%release
