Hi,
"swift", one of the packages I maintain, introduced new shared library called "swiften" in the new "swift" version. I would like to pack this library as a subpackage, so I want to change current swift.spec to build both "swift" package and also "swiften" and "swiften-devel" packages.
Do I have to resubmit the package for a review to do this? I have already asked few people and got very different answers.
Regards, Jan Kaluza

Using a single source archive? If so, that has happened in other packages before.

No. You are free to split off, rename, or obsolete subpackages as appropriate.

Almost impossible to comment on. Just this: Those, who claimed that a re-review would be required, have they pointed you at specific Packaging Guidelines? That would be the interesting part.

When you rename the package completely from swift to swiften, you need a new review request, as the spec file needs to be %name.spec: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_Renaming_Process When you only introduce a new subpackage, you can add that to the swift package.
