[Bug 431560] New: Circular build dependency
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional
comments should be made in the comments box of this bug report.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431560
Summary: Circular build dependency
Product: Fedora
Version: 8
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: low
Priority: low
Component: perl-PPI
AssignedTo: tcallawa(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: ed(a)membled.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-perl-devel-list(a)redhat.com
Building perl-PPI needs perl-Test-ClassAPI.
Building perl-Test-ClassAPI needs perl-Class-Inspector.
Building perl-Class-Inspector needs perl-Test-MinimumVersion.
Building perl-Test-MinimumVersion needs perl-Perl-MinimumVersion.
Building perl-Perl-MinimumVersion needs perl-PPI.
Since PPI doesn't really need Test::ClassAPI but only uses it in one part of its
test suite, I suggest breaking that BuildRequires dependency.
(If Test::ClassAPI is not installed then the test suite passes anyway, since it
skips that one test.)

[Bug 431468] New: newer version of Mail::IMAPClient available
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431468
Summary: newer version of Mail::IMAPClient available

Component: perl-Mail-IMAPClient
AssignedTo: tcallawa(a)redhat.com

The Mail::IMAPClient module was taken over by a new maintainer in late 2007.
Starting with version 2.99_02, virtually the entire module was rewritten. The
latest version, 3.04, has many bugfixes and improvements:
http://search.cpan.org/src/MARKOV/Mail-IMAPClient-3.04/Changes
Please consider building perl-Mail-IMAPClient-3.04 for development, if not
updates-testing. Thanks.

[Bug 232380] New: Pod::Readme: BR'ing perl(Test::Pod::Coverage) creates a circular BR loop
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional
comments should be made in the comments box of this bug report.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=232380
Summary: Pod::Readme: BR'ing perl(Test::Pod::Coverage) creates a
circular BR loop
Product: Fedora Extras
Version: fc6
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: perl-Pod-Readme
AssignedTo: steve(a)silug.org
ReportedBy: cweyl(a)alumni.drew.edu
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-perl-devel-list(a)redhat.com
Another fun circular BR loop :)
Though this is seen when trying to rebuild perl-Module-Build:
perl-Module-Build BR's perl(Pod::Readme)
perl-Pod-Readme BR's perl(Test::Pod::Coverage)
perl-Test-Pod-Coverage BR's perl(Pod::Coverage)
perl-Pod-Coverage BR's perl(Module::Build)
Since Test::Pod::Coverage is a developer test, and not needed for the build of
perl-Pod-Readme, can we drop it as a BR to this package?
