Hi I am using fedora 9 and python 2.6 but not able to display unicode (Assamese/Bengali)when i do proogram in python. Can I get some suggestion in this matter to display the unicode.

Hi,
Fedora 9 is way out of date and not getting updates for for a while now. See http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LifeCycle/EOL
While I can't help you with the unicode issue, I suggest to upgrade to a supported version (ideally Fedora 13) and try there.
Your issue may already be resolved. If not, please open a bug in Red Hat Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora&version=13&...
Also, try to be more verbose when describing your problem. This will make it easier for others to reproduce. Ideally if you can attach your code (or parts of it).

This could be a problem with not having the necessary fonts installed on the system or with the code that you're trying to run, or a number of other things. Do you have a program that you can show us that we can attempt to replicate the problem with?
