Rawhide Revisor build fails - file not found: RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-test-ppc64
by d.marlin
I'm trying a Revisor build for rawhide using a config file that has
worked in the past. Now when I run it I see:
--------
Copying release note file RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-10-primary
Copying release note file RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-test-ppc64
Traceback (most recent call last):
:
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/var/tmp/revisor-pungi/work/rawhide-i386/i386/docs/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-test-ppc64'
Traceback occurred, please report a bug at http://fedorahosted.org/revisor
--------
This is slightly surprising, since I am building only an i386 spin on an
i386 host (why would I need ppc64 keys). I tried building with the same
config file on and F10 host and got the same results.
The command line I used is:
sudo revisor \
--cli \
--respin \
--yes \
--config=/etc/revisor/revisor.conf \
--model=rawhide-i386 \
--kickstart=rawhide.cfg \
--kickstart-include \
--kickstart-default \
--install-cd
Could this be a result of 'pilot error', i.e., something I need to
update or something in my configuration, or should I file a bug report?
Thank you,

'Boot from local disk' doesn't work
by mad
Hi!
I created a spin of Fedora 8. Everything went fine. But I'm wondering
about the 'boot from local disk' option. It works on desktop computers
(HP dc5800) but not on servers (HP DL310 G5). After choosing the option
on the server the screen goes blank and nothing else happens.
Any idea how I could fix that?
Many thanks for any help

Create a repository, and include the repository configuration in the
/etc/revisor/conf.d/*.conf YUM configuration files. Then select the
packages to be included in the RPM payload or transaction.

Do you already have them in a Yum repository somewhere? If not,
that's the first thing you'll need to do. You don't have to have a
special server, just place them all in a folder and run createrepo on
that folder.
Once you know the repository URL, start Revisor. On the "Configure
Revisor" screen, which should be the third one, there is an Add
Repository button. There you can add the name, description, and URL
to the repository.
If that doesn't work for you, you can add the repository manually to
the configuration files. Open up the appropriate file in /etc/revisor/
conf.d for the OS you want to rebuild. For example, if you want to
respin CentOS 5 i386, open revisor-cf-i386.conf, and add a section
similar to the following, customizing the values as appropriate:
[my-packages]
name=My custom packages
baseurl=file:///home/username/myrepository
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0
Then, when you run Revisor, you should be able to select your new
repository in the Revisor GUI.

Re: [revisor-users] [Revisor-users] Want to include my own rpms ??
by Hannu Kröger
Hi,
One way to do it is to create your own repository (I have apache for
that) and then include your packages in the package list in the
kickstart file. If that can be done without apache, let me know.

Hannu

Revisor already does that, it caches the RPM files in
/var/tmp/revisor-yumcache/, where /var/tmp/ is actually the
configuration setting "working_directory" (and thus adjustable).
