I started watching it earlier today, and I agree that is interesting. A lot of the
discussion is centered around their IPC stack which has been based on Tomcat. They are
replacing Tomcat with RxNetty (not sure if this is mentioned in this particular talk).
They are really embracing and pushing the functional, reactive paradigm.
