BTW, aren't there any copyright issues with the Ruby logo? Is anyone free to take it and use it this way? (just wondering)

Not just Ruby [1], but Fedora's logo as well [2]

Ya had thought about this as well. Most likely will have to make a couple minor adjustments to be in accordance w/ our guidelines, and will run it by our logo team for verification before uploading it. I believe we should be fine after that, but will make sure.

If there is an issue, there are a couple options we could take. We can swap out the ruby logo for one of the stock ruby photos in the public domain on the net, have one our gfx team draw a ruby for us, or if a ruby-sig contributor want to do so, by all means. Lastly I could open up another GCI task to draw a simple ruby in inkscape and swap that in.

Would prefer using the official logo, but this would still convey the message none the less.
