Hi,

please any one help me by letting me know how to subscibe for security patch updates for fedora instance.so that i will get the updates through mail / any website that give me the updates.

AFAIK, I'm not sure, if there is a Fedora mailing-list which gives you _explicitly_ security updates. But I can point you to a few things.

1) you may want to install yum-security-plugin, ( "yum install yum-security"),  you can just do a "yum update --security" for getting all security updates/patches. check it's man page .
 more details here  - http://magazine.redhat.com/2008/01/16/tips-and-tricks-yum-security/
(And maybe you can periodically run a simple cron job to send an email to you)

2) subscribe to fedora-package-announce mailing list - which has "security updates" announcements along with other packages.

3) check out websites like www.lwn.net where security updates of Fedora (and other major distributions) will be announced.

hope that helps,
kashyap

Naveen
