[PATCH] Support for arbitrary kickstart template variables (ksmeta)
by James Laska
Some python templates may require additional information in order to properly generate a kickstart file. This comes into play when trying to manually specify a partitioning scheme. Different architectures have different partitioning needs. For example, powerpc needs a "PPC PReP Boot" partition, and ia64 requires an EFI partition. This also opens the door for further customizations that the user can specify prior to generating the kickstart.
Comments welcome.
Thanks,
James

[patch] Proposed support for tracking system specific cmdline and kickstart changes
by James Laska
The attached patches provide a server-side snake machine database for registering and tracking system specific cmdline and kickstart data. Also included are:
* snake-install-tui support for adding (and remembering) cmdline arguments on the fly
* snake-machine client utility for add/update/delete of registration information
* snake/ksdb.py support for adding registered system-specific kickstart information (e.g. network ...)
* and much more ... :)
Thanks,
James
