Plymouth and re-brandng
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
Any idea, why this snippet doesn't work? Plymouth still shows "Fedora
10" during bootup
--
%post
sed -i -e 's/Fedora/Foo/g' /etc/fedora-release /etc/issue
# Update initrd. Otherwise plymouth says "Fedora 10" instead of Foo
/sbin/mkinitrd -f /boot/initrd-2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.img
2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686

mc in the mix

This is about;
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=234664
It's been requested we include mc on the Live Spins and Install Spin.
I'm not sure if the reasoning is valid ("most used tool"?). The bug is
assigned to Jesse right now who I'm sure will have something to say too,
but here's my thoughts;
If it were up to me, I'd leave it up to you, the spin maintainers. If
you feel this is solid, add mc and maybe remove another package -if
needed. If not, fine. Maybe leave a comment on the bug so Mr. Bartmann
knows how this is going down.
I just wanted you to be aware of the request and deal with it as you see
fit.
Kind regards,
Jeroen van Meeuwen
