The Desktop spin jumped about 200MB in size a few days ago. Can someone update me on whether Desktop is targeting a CD or something else this time around? If the target is 1GB now, then things are OK.
BrOffice stopped building a few days ago with an issue with a ks reference not being found. This doesn't appear to be from the recent BrOffice commit, but I am not sure yet what changed to cause the problem.
The other spins are all building OK.
I haven't heard that Meego has officially been granted board approval, but am expecting that soon.

Are we talking about F14 spins, or rawhide ? In any case, the target hasn't changed. I can only assume that the OOo -> libreoffice switch may have thrown off our exclusions ?

libreoffice only has landed in rawhide so far... so that shouldn't be the cause of space increase I wouldn't think.

Could this be the pino change?
Anyway, someone should take a look at what is getting pulled in.

Kevin, did anything change on the build machines around the 7th? I am not seeing commits to spin-kickstarts (git repo) that would have broken things. The spin-kickstarts package has been in stable for about a month now. So I am thinking a change on the build machines is a likely cause.

Well, there was the usual stream of updates:

I don't see why any of those would have caused an issue...

Looking at this more carefully it looks like the size increase and breakage are related. I missed some other broken spins as well. Pretty much it looks like the livecd-deskop ks disappeared.

Looks like there may have been some network/issue with checking out the git tree the other day. ;(
I'll check out a fresh copy for todays if a compose every lands. ;(

Thanks. That will likely fix everything but the size issue. There is a reasonable chance that will fix the size issue for Desktop, since that changed on the same day, but we'll need to wait and see.

It looks like that fixed everything, including the live desktop spin size. So things are looking good now.

Yep. Was going to drop a note to that effect. ;)
Thanks!

BrOffice stopped building a few days ago with an issue with a ks reference not being found. This doesn't appear to be from the recent BrOffice commit, but I am not sure yet what changed to cause the problem.
The other spins are all building OK.
I was reviewing spin sizes again today and see that desktop is going to be very close. This build predates the background change getting into stable and doesn't reflect the compression effort. The initial intention was that it include animated backgrounds.
It looks like the size bump happened a day later for it. Probably just due to compose timing.
Probably there won't be a new composes before this afternoon's Spins SIG meeting. But we'll need to check on closely throughout the RC period.

I just composed the BrOffice.org Spin here and it is back on track. Thanks Bruno and Martin again for fixing this.
