Hello, I've been struggling for 4 days and according to the
information I have stated below, I cannot access the linux operating system joined in AD
to users with different suffixes.
What kind of config should I make, can you help me?
domain name =
TEST.COM
DNS domain name =
test.com
NETBIOS = FACTORY
ADDC1 =
msdc1.test.com
ADDC2 =
msdc2.test.com
users : adminuser1(a)test.com
users : adminuser2(a)factory1.com.tr
users : adminuser3(a)peace.ru
users : adminuser4(a)gone.edu.tr
Hi,
do I understand correctly that you have an AD domain called 'test.com'
and in this domain you have defined the alternative domain suffixes
'factory1.com.tr', 'peace.ru' and 'gone.edu.tr'? This should
automatically work after joining the domain with 'id_provider = ad'.
This means that you can use those name to log in, but 'getent passwd
username' will always show the "canonical" name with the
test.com
suffix.
bye,
Sumit
