Proposal submission is over, what is next
by Buddhike Kurera
Hello Students,
Happy Easter !!
We received much proposals than we can easily handle.
Thanks for your interest towards the Fedora Project.
According to the program it is not possible to accept all the *good*
proposals we
received even though it is our wish. Mentors are busy sorting, reviewing your
proposals and most of the time they need your feedback in some instances,
therefore it is good to keep in touch with your inbox and respond to comments
asap.
Further please feel free to start discussions on the mailing lists,
IRC channels,
start working towards the idea and so on. Refer to fedoras' join page
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join and find a right team to work with
besides your
GSoC project.
Obviously some students will get selected. The best among the best proposals.
But disregarding whether you get selected or not you can keep contributing
towards the project. The Fedora project is one of the best projects
you can hang on.
The friendly community will always help you. So feel free to be a part
of the community.
If you want help, it is an email away !

Student proposal submission - one day left
by Buddhike Kurera
Dear Students,
You have exactly one day left (at the time I am writing this email) to
submit/finish
modifying your proposal(s) for the project idea. After the deadline
you will not able to
edit your proposal. Therefore make sure you have polished and finished
submitting your
proposal on or before 1900 UTC, 6th Aptil which is tomorrow.
Further, I would like to remind you about what makes your submission
valid. Since we
have high demand we will strictly follow those requirements.
Make sure following list is completed,
x You have subscribed with the summer-coding mailing list
x Create a FAS account
x Your updated proposal is available on the Fedora project wiki
x Your application/proposal is submitted to google-melange
If you fail to satisfy any of above on or before 6th April, 1900 UTC,
with regret we skip your proposal. We are sorry but we need to
follow it.
Then do hurry, complete your submission now. Dont wait till the
last minute.
Happy Summer Coding !!
