File Manager that is called when uploading to Google Drive

People, I am on F40 and using an install from the Sway Live iso. When I want to upload a file to GD, a simple file manager opens - it isn't Thunar - which I have renamed so it doesn't get used - but what is this other, simple FM? I have tried looking at the Chrome processes that are running with and without the simple FM interface displayed but I can't find any forked program for the FM. If I do the same thing with Firefox, it also loads the same simple FM! - where is it? what is it? - I want to replace it with Ranger . . if it is possible. wlroots 0.18 update announcement

Greetings, I'm planning to update wlroots in rawhide to 0.18.0[1] by the end of the week (or at least before the branching). As usual, the update contains API/ABI breaking changes and soname will be bumped to libwlroots-0.18.so[^1]. wlroots0.17 compatibility package will be introduced in the same update. This is a purely informational message, no breakages are expected and no action is required from the maintainers of dependent packages. I'll be taking care of the only package (river) that would benefit from the update. sway-resping issue with screensharing/ vid calls in Firefox

Hello Fellow Swayers! I'm wondering if anyone else has discovered / seen a bug that's popped up last week or so in Fedora 39 Sway respin. Video calls & screensharing no longer works in Firefox. Ive tested with google meet as well as meet.jit.si and it's the same issue so def not a fault of the service provider. The picture for other participants is just a "black screen" The other participants also just see a black screen if I share my screen. I've confirmed the same issue on two separate laptops that are completely different (so it's not a hardware issue) I also tried creating a new user to make sure it's not somthing with my custom sway settings. Logging in as that user having the fedora sway re-spin using the defaults the same behaviour persists. -- Best Regards ~M

No breakages are expected and no action is required from the maintainers of dependent packages. Some packages (only gamescope so far) may benefit from rebasing to a release that requires 0.17.0, for this purpose I'll post the side-tag ids once available. Creating a ScreenShot HotKey Script

People, I want to scroll through doc pages in a script loop doing a screenshot for each page eg the procedure would be: 1. Display the first page of the doc you want to screenshot. 2. Hit CTRL-PrtScrn (say) to start the script loop. The script does a screenshot of the current screen. The Right Arrow or PageDn key is sent from the script to advance the doc to the next page. The script continues to loop . . 3. The script is stopped by CTRL-C (say). Is this possible? Should I be trying to do this from Sway? Stepping out

Hello sway-sig folks, I've never been very active in this SIG yet joined at some point since I was maintaining the hikari and mako packages. Thing is, I've moved back to the standard gnome environment some time ago as I'm slowly but surely moving my focus away from the IT world (and opening a small backery, among others) : I don't think I will have bandwidth or interest to work further for this SIG in the future, and am officially stepping out. Clean install from Live Sway ISO: Win-d does not work any more

People, I have been using Sway for a quite a while now via a KDE Live install but when I did a clean install recently from the new Live Sway ISO, generally everything went pretty well - except now the Win-d hot key does not allow me type a command at the top of screen. Going Inactive

Hello All, While I've been inactive for a few months I wanted to get around to sending a official announcement. As work continues to bear more load during these uncertain times and being a full time student I'm currently biting off way more then I can chew. My goal is to set aside some of my hobbies and involvement with Fedora to focus on finishing school as fast as possible. I believe removing this burden will improve my efficiency and mental health. I expect to be absent for about 8-12 months from today. I gave https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_inactive_packagers/ a read and will try to stay somewhat /active/ so I don't reach inactive status, but in the rare case I do I'm willing to do the verification process when the time comes. With all that being said my RHBZ has a few tasks that folks may be interested in taking over: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=VERIFIED&… Since I don't post on the list often I would like to give a special shout-out to the sway-sig for pushing the spin to the finish line for Fedora 38!
